Intersolar Europe 2025

The largest energy industry trade fair in Europe and one of the largest events of its kind in the world, Intersolar Europe 2025, once again brought together leading technology manufacturers and integrators, experts, investors and companies from the broader energy sector in Munich.

The key themes of this year’s event were digitalization, flexibility and sector integration – the most important issues for a stable and green energy system of the future. The trend of interest in energy storage technology was evident, and many discussions focused on the selection of appropriate design solutions.

What caught our attention?

Photovoltaics – a noticeable increase in interest:

  • agrophotovoltaics, especially in Southern Europe (e.g. Italy)
  • the first mass deployments of perovskites as a technology to support the performance of traditional PV modules

Energy storage – still a dominant theme:

  • continuing trend of falling prices (although less dynamic)
  • most production from Asia, but more and more companies open to integration with European management and cyber security systems
  • high quality conversations: from fire protection solutions to space optimization to storage lifecycle management.

Energy management – the growing role of intelligent control:

  • software systems that integrate generation assets, consumers and the grid
  • simulations and layouts for PV, storage and hybrid projects as early as the initial planning stage
  • the growing number of solutions to optimize the development process.Nearly 3,000 exhibitors and more than 100,000 visitors from around the world attended Intersolar Europe in Munich from May 7-9. As PST, we return with new knowledge, contacts and concrete ideas for the next steps.
