Poland on the road to transformation and a strong position in Europe, the need for regulatory support and cross-sectoral cooperation, simplification of procedures and the creation of a coherent legal framework for the development of wind energy – both onshore and offshore – were just some of the topics discussed during the three-day conference PWEA 2025. As PST, we held a series of business meetings, presenting PST wind projects being prepared for implementation and the potential for cooperation in terms of land acquisition, connection conditions and green energy trade. Discussions with representatives of public and government administration focused on the proposed regulations for wind power investments, the provision of environmental information and environmental impact assessments. Their aim is not only to simplify procedures, but also to speed up project implementation.
The year 2024 saw the threshold of 10 GW of onshore wind power capacity exceeded, and the first offshore investments are already underway. Swinoujscie is emerging as a key service and logistics hub for the entire Baltic region. The future of the sector also lies in strengthening local supply chains, modernising transmission infrastructure and developing energy generation and storage technologies.
More than 2,500 participants attended this year’s Polish Wind Energy Association (PWEA) Conference. Thank you for inspiring discussions, new contacts and a shared view of the future.
