PV Congress 2025

Energy security in the era of transition, challenges for the Polish energy sector, the issue of quality in PV installations, PV development and trends, barriers and challenges – these were just some of the topics discussed at this year’s PV Congress. The event provided an excellent opportunity for factual discussions about the future of the market and to present PST’s portfolio of RES projects to investors and operators active in the field of photovoltaics in Poland. As PST, we presented our pre-RtB, RtB and operational projects, highlighting our distinctive flexibility in cooperation with new and existing partners.

The two-day event also highlighted:
🔹 the need to adapt the auction system to new market conditions
🔹 the high demand for storage projects and the range of services that can be provided through them from balancing services through price arbitrage or the power market
🔹 the need for urgent legislative changes to enable the development of hybrid projects (source + storage), today there is a lack of appropriate forms for applications for connection conditions, as well as legal and systemic solutions – regulations, support schemes or auction procedures still remain strongly technology-oriented.

During the panel “Redispatching of photovoltaics in Poland – a systemic problem and solutions” Marcin Ludwicki, CEO of PST Trade, shared his knowledge of non-market redispatching of generation units – a practice that many market participants believe disproportionately affects the RES sector.
